Thanksgiving TV Choices
Most people eat and eat and then watch television all day on Thanksgiving. You should be thankful for your TV on this day as well as there is plenty to watch for everyone. Just you might have to fight over the remote, just like you did over the wishbone.
Starting in the morning you know you got to peak at the Macy’s Thanksgiving Parade. For the kids sake they like to see Santa Claus and for you, you get ready for that shopping spree you will be making the next day.
Of course, there is no Thanksgiving with no Football. The first game will be the winless Lions against the one loss Titans. After the Titans loss on Sunday they might be a little upset. What better to beat up the Detroit Lions on Thanksgiving. Only a miracle can prevent this one getting away from the Titans, although this will be Detroit’s closest thing to a Super Bowl.
The next game will be another laugher where the Dallas Cowboys will host the Seattle Seahawks. Seattle is another team that just has had everything gone wrong, although Dallas sometimes lets teams like this hang around a little to long. The Cowboys need this win to continue their momentum and keep pace with the rest of the NFC East.
In the night game on the NFL network if you are privileged enough to have the channel you may want to tune in at the Eagles and Cardinals. This maybe Donovan McNabb’s last game as an Eagle if the team losses again. Meanwhile, the Cardinals are trying to get back to winning after a tough loss against the New York Giants on Sunday.
For the college football fans, Texas will be bouncing as Texas and Texas A&M square off on ESPN in the evening. Texas needs another win to keep up with the rest of the BIG XII.
For the non sporting people and the ladies and children there is also plenty more to watch.
After the Thanksgiving Parade you got the National Dog Show which always gets big ratings on Thanksgiving. You also got a full day of Jon and Kate Plus 8 on TLC as you can spend time with the Goselins for Thanksgiving.
The kids will be bouncing for a pretty good lineup as well. In the morning and after lunch Cartoon Network will airing a mini marathon of Chowder. If you have missed this one, this is a great new show on Cartoon Network. As well you got the “Spongebob Movie” on Nickelodeon in the afternoon and “Charlie Brown’s Thanksgiving” and the “Incredibles” coming on after in the evening on ABC.
For everyone to watch, I recommend “Click” which is airing on FOX in the evening with Adam Sandler and for all of you Mike Myers fans “Austin Power’s Goldmember” is on TBS. Who will win the battle as both of these movies are very funny.
All in all if you love TV, then Thanksgiving is the day for you, and for the rest of you who hate watching TV on Thanksgiving then you better go take a long nap after eating that Turkey. Happy Thanksgiving and everyone be safe.
