The 81st Oscars was dominated by the small film Slumdog Millionaire. The film won many Oscars of those best picture, best director, song of the year, and best adaptive screenplay were among the top honors of the night. These were well deserved awards for a very good movie and if you have not seen it then you should have no excuses now, as it was the top of the class.
The feel good moment of the night belonged to the family of the late departed Heath Ledger, who won for his now stamped performance with Oscar as the “Joker” on the Dark Knight. However as we all know, Heath Ledger has now left us a mini legacy and a career although cut short will be remembered for generations
Sean Penn stole some gold for his role in Milk for best lead actor. I had prior feeling he might take this one but Micke Rourke was the comeback hero of the night, despite his loss, he was glorified in Penn’s acceptance speech for the Oscar.
Kate Winslet, what can you say, she won the award for best lead actress and now she is not only a winner but another story for all of us to look up too. I am sure little girls around the country and world watching are now sayin I want to be the next Kate Winslet.
Big cheers for Hugh Jackman, he was a great host did not over power the show and used his fellow actors and actresses when needed. His tribute to the Musical was fun and entertaining for all of those who love the classic and new Musical movies.
Lastly, but most important WALL-E who should have won some more awards, did win for Best Animated movie. I was happy as my kids loved that movie and for parents too it is a story of heart, courage and love. Way to go WALL-E!

Yes another Thursday night is upon us and boy I love to laugh and nothing makes me laugh more than watching NBC’s Thursday night line up. However we all have busy lives and sometimes we miss that first five minutes of the show or maybe you are a Tivo man or woman that misses nothing because your perfect planning always works for you than, good for you.
Although, I am like most who do not have the luxuries of Tivo or recording live teleision but I do have the internet. In case you have not heard Facebook, you know that huge social network site, has an addicted to Office page that you can be a part of that allows you to see the latest newest office episode. So you do not have to feel bad for missing your eight o’clock Office tonight because now you can watch that latest episode anytime you want up too the following week. You just got be a part of Facebook to take advantage. Of course NBC Office website is also another great place to visit as well which allows you other ways including if you are a iTune carrier.
So if you really want to be that die hard fan then you never have to miss another episode. There is always a way and you will never feel left out of the Office loop again. If you have Facebook already here is the link to the site.

We are near the end of the award season as the 51st Grammy Awards were on yesterday on CBS. I have never been a huge fan of the Grammys mostly because I can never figure out how so many bands and songs fall into so many different categories. I mean Cold Play is worthy of awards, but Rock Album of the year, ColdPlay is hardley a rock band and their lead singer Chris Martin even mentioned that in his acceptance speech. They are a great band but the label seems a little off if you ask me, compared to the likes of Metallica, ACDC those are real rock bands.
The performances were good as always U2 started us off as they should and with the way the mix of young and old, with bands such as the Johans Brothers playing with Stevie Wonder. The mix of platinum sellers of the likes of Kayne West, M.I.A, and Young Jeezie was a site to see, as well as the T.I and Justin Timberlake performance which was my favorite. Even Paul McCartney playing with the Foo Fighters was a great perfromance. None of the peformances lacked any problems they were all good.
Chris Brown and Rhianna were a no show but as we see today in the news there was some other things they were involved in that explains there missing performances. At least we know why they were a no show.
Altogether the performances make up for the awards as that is how most Grammy Awards shows are however, can we organize these bands a little better bext time. Although, I beleive that will be unlikely as every year the Grammy’s leave us asking, “how are those bands put in the same category?” Just like any other award show we never quite get fully satisfied.

What a great Office episode tonight. Loved the Jack Black bootleg movie that Andy fell in love with… Michael gets roasted and feels really bad. Dwight is a menace and creator of mass hysteria over a safety exercise.
Jim and Pam still love each other building their relationship even further.
Stanley finds out that Michael does tell good jokes sometimes…LOL Creed is Creed, Meredith drinks because of Michael. Kevin loves to roast and is a looter in crazy times.
Oscar is still falling from the ceiling and the Angelas cat lost another life. Michael fails to know all of his trustee warehouse men. While Pam is a great roaster. I loved the internet scam bit.. Andy you still rock it out and his musical genius shines once more..
For only 4 days till are next dose of the Office. Thanks NBC for a great evening of great football and big laughs.
