10.” Night Court” I think the greatness of this show is it’s very basic concept. When you think of going to court you see a lot of strange people but how about if the court is taken place at night where the real interesting people come out to have too much fun. Throw in a goofey judge a couple of lawyers that always fight, and a few court helpers that made the show complete. Even though many of these televison actors are past there prime as far as well known actors however they still will always be known for their laughter on Night Court

9. “Family Guy” When this show first aired it did not last very long as it did get cancelled after its first couple of shows mostly because peopel felt it was just the Simpsons with more crude humor. Well now the creator of Family Guy has a slough of shows that are making FOX Sundays Animation Domination Days and much credit has to go to Family Guy. You may be truned away by some of the mature orientation of the show but for some reason this show just makes you laugh and you don’t know why and you keep coming back for more.

8. “the Office” Honestly this show is the best on television right now but because of its still relatively youth as far as longevity it had to be take down a few notches. Once this show closes its doors for good the following will be much the same as when Seinfeld Friends and Cheers stopped production. Thankfully even after only 5 season this show is now being syndicated like crazy among all networks and the following will only become greater as how can you not relate to this show as almost everyone can relate to working in a strange work place.

7. “Cheers” One of television all time favorite shows is still one of my favorite shows of all time. I think Woody replacing “Coach” did it for me as I became obsessed with this show as the small time guy from Indiana just kept the laughs rolling. Even though Coach was great and was hard to see go Woody jumped right in and the show never lost a step. Even after Dianne left I was kind of happy, as we all got tired of the Sam and Dianne drama that had preceded for many years. Kristie Alley was not great but bot bad either as she complemented the cast of Cheers very well. As for Carla she reminds me of so many hard working mothers out there that do anything to protect there large Italian family

6. “Friends” Even after seeing many shows and many seasons of Friends you still find yourself laughing. That is a sign of a any good show as no matter how much you see a certain show it still makes you laugh. I still find myself checking out old re runs and laughing every time. Ross was my favorite character as he was not the most perfect guy, had a lot of baby mama drama but always was a good Dad to his kids and I thought that was a good message to send to its mostly younger viewers. Even though relationships can get a little hairy no matter what you still stick it out for your kids.

5. “Cosby Show” Bill Cosby is a genius when it comes to family comedy. No one was better than him and the Cosbys will still go down as one the best shows of all time. You still can catch classic reruns all over the tube and it is because the show is timeless where any new viewer that first watches the show for the first time or the hundredth time will still crack a smile. Bill Cosby wanted to show the world that you can make people laugh without being crude rude or derogatory and this show is example of what he was trying to say and continues to say to this day.

4. “Roseanne” Most people either hated Roseanne or loved Roseanne there really was no in between. I think mostly because Roseanne was a controversial actress in which people got turned off by all of her outside the show controversy. However despite all of that the show was great for middle class America and still can be a sample of how hard working parents try to live week to week year to year without killing each other among all that comes with having a family. John Goodman as Dan is still one of my favorite father characters in television history.

3. “Will & Grace” The show that broke barriers for same sex relationships on television is still very funny. Even a straight person like myself can respect a show of this magnitude because really as you look at non cable programming there really was no show like this prior to Will & Grace. Every character of the show was funny and not just because they acted gay or straight but because they all were friends that stuck through hard times when relationships broke down and is a show that proves to people that no matter what kind of person you are there are people out there that have your back no matter what comes your way.

2. “Seinfeld” Perhaps Seinfeld would be number one on this list but that series finale was just not that great and really was a sort of disappointment. However how do you end a show about nothing? The show really did not have the romance between characters the same way a show like Freinds did as ths show just made you laugh for a full thirty minutes about the smallest little things people sometime take for granted. Right now Larry David and Jerry Seinfeld are attempting this same series finale on Larry David’s other HBO show “Curb Your Enthusiasm” in which I may have to check out just to see the cast of Seinfeld all together one more time.

1. “The Simpsons” How can you have any great list without The Simpsons the longest ever running comedy show of all time. Even though many will attempt to say it is a cartoon, however if you have watched one episode then you will say this is far from a cartoon and is one of the funniest show ever. My personal favorite episodes are more from the early days of the show when the show was still gatheirng popularity. This one show which has eclipsed twenty years has to be included on this list as this show has been on for two thirds of my life anything that last that long has got to be memorable.

Hey how are you good looking… It has been awhile so today superdad is gonna do something special just this time. I read watch view a lot of things in twenty four hours so here is a sample.

First off to all my Big Brother fans how about last night as Jessie feels the wrath of America giving Jeff the Chicago guy the ability to overthrow the HOH nominations. Jessie was not shocked as he possibly knew that Jeff had it but he one that felt the worse has got to be Chima who had both if her nominations off of the block and her enemy Russel escapes near departure. I guess the girl that gets what she wants all the time got a dose of welcome to life and things don’t always go your way in the Big Brother house.

Read yesterday that a new study has been done on Facebook that shows a huge climb in young couples feeling as though they are being cheated and deceived by their mates because of all of the chit chat that often occurs between old friendships or even old well you know what I am talking about right? Duh, that is why they are on there in to the first place to re-live their glory days. As for someone like myself well I just like to play Mafia Wars you want to join Biggie Smalls mafia.

What about that guy at the Cubs game if you don’t know I will give the link. Even thought this occurred a couple nights ago there seems to be a conspiracy check this out it is pretty good seems as though they got the wrong guy.

http://www.npr.org/blogs/thetwo-way/2009/08/beerthrowing_chicago_cubs_fan.html

What is this the JFK conspiracy. Good old National Public Radio they get it right!

Jon and Kate please stop this show before we start seeing the kids dating. I mean you are milking TLC and TLC is milking us so, I know we can’t get enough but for all of us and all of the gossip has to stop. I am tired of the whole “he said” “she said” and “what I didn’t know that,” Whatever, go cash your last check and lets move on to having a normal life. The kids are being milked here as well and instead of giving them a reality of what is going on you use your money and the show to create a fantasy that is far from the truth. Kate last thing your not Posh Spice and Jon is no David Beckham so lets tame it down a little. Hey, I love TLC and their programming but this still feels like to much like Ross and Rachel from Friends. Remember what happened after all of that drama they still got together in the end. We were fooed then and we are getting fooled again.

Hey that wasn’t too painful was it now go back to your day and remember this, you are the one! He he, just joking bad Matrix joke. Stay tuned for more later.

Perhaps television’s most beloved family and favorite eight wonderful children are having troubles. What is the world coming too that even this family which started off rough then lifted to new heights with the help of Oprah and TLC is now on a rocky path that might lead to divorce.

However let me just say this as a fan of the family and show I think people maybe getting sucked into something that might just be hype for a show that once had cute lovable babies and now the parents are more famous than what the show was supposed to be about. Sure the show gives us ways to cope with little ones especially in large numbers. Honesty, now what how to cope with a huge family that is having marital problems? Whether this is just coincidence or a show grabbing on for dear life you can make that decision for yourself.

If the whole circus is true and Jon and Kate do divorce let’s just hope this family doesn’t fall apart in front of our eyes the same way we fell in love with them with 8 adorable children. As a parent I used some techniques and hints from the show as another way to help my family. However now it is hard to take advice from a family that separates from each other as soon as the cameras turn off.

It seems fake and perhaps more scripted than before that this family is still pushing on for more on TLC. If these two do finalize a divorce I really believe these two need to formally apologize to their fans and maybe just maybe tell us or show us how we can avoid making possibly the same mistakes they perhaps did on their way to fame.

It is sad that television and the media have made a mockery of this family but I guess this is what they asked for going into something they were totally blind to and unable to cope with at all in the beginning.

Lastly, Jon and Kate was and is a great show but now that all of this is going on should the cameras still be rolling, when the royalties of this show are going right into the pockets of the Gosselins while their children are living a double life. A life that exists on television and the other which is real and in turmoil are going to have a lasting affect on them for years to come.

Well if you were on Mars the last month or so you most likely wouldn’t know that the newest X-Men Origins movie is on it’s way to be out and put in the movie theater soon.

I know I have been hearing that this movie will not be as good as the three other X-Men movies but I do have to say thank you Marvel for giving me one of my all time favorite X-Men, Gambit.

Besides everyone’s favorite Wolverine weather you liked his cool trench-coat look, the flaming cards, his cool accent or his back breaking staff thank you Marvel for giving me Gambit after 3.5 X Men movies. The wait I am hoping is worth it.

Quite honestly I’m disappointing in the critics already giving this movie a thumbs down when this movie is probably the closest thing to what the X-Men are all about in the X-Men comic series. We know marvel studios is behind all of this and that’s a good thing because please we do not need another bad HULK movie. Thank you Marvel for saving HULK with the “Incredible Hulk” a couple years back he has returned better than ever!

In summary do not pre judge this new X Men movie because it feels as thou it is just to promote Hugh Jackman. It may be the best Marvel Studios has ever done! Spiderman is the man but the X-Men are on the move again looking to challenge the Marvel leader of the box office at the movies this summer!

After watching the first episode of Parks and Recreation last week I had to give some love, preach and will watch another episode. Amy Poehler was very funny and even thou it is very similar to the Office, as it should as one of the Office’s producers also produces this show, the show still is good. If you like old fashion humor in another view from a fishbowl kind of way you should come back for more Park and Recreation.

The supporting cast may not jump out at you as familiar faces but honestly the Office at first was the very same. Many faces we were very unfamiliar until now so I expect the same from this show. Amy Poehler’s great and will carry the show just as Steve Carell did for the Office and like Tina Fey for 30 Rock, so the formula seems to be working as NBC ratings for this show and the new crime drama Southland which does need it’s own post as well, were very good for the premier.

So I am looking for no slump from week two as Park and Recreation has caught my eye as antoher good comedy done right for NBC. Make sure you check it out and go to NBC.com for more on the show that many are talking about every Friday morning.

Jack Black has been hitting the television screen lately. If you’re an “Office” fan you had to have seen his role as the man seducing “Grandma Robinson” on the bootleg movie on “the office” after Super Bowl special or whatever you want to call it as somewhat unusual. Well if you have not heard Jack Black will be appearing on the kid hit television show Yo Gabba Gabba.

Jack Black a father as well, recently as last year doing the Kid’s Choice awards and also the Nacho Libre movie which was a production of Nickelodeon pictures is becoming a familiar face with the younger generation.

I love it as he has transformed from Tenacious D rocker to now DJ Lance’s right hand man on Yo Gabba Gabba. If you have not seen Yo Gabba Gabba it’s kind of like Seseme Street, but new and improved with more emphasis on music and still very educational for preschoolers and children. The show has already featured Elijah Wood even SNL’s Rachel Dratch and Andy Samberg, plus countless music acts that have been keeping the show hip and up to date.

Here is a clip of Jack Black in Yo Gabba Gabba http://www.etonline.com/news/2009/04/72399/index.html

and make sure to check out http://yogabbagabba.com/#

Also I added this little gem from the making of Nacho Libre

I know I will be sitting down with the kids on this one as a can’t miss for us as Yo Gabba Gabba is new favorite in our house.

March Madness is a great time and one of the best sport specticles all year round. There is no better tournament college or pro better than the 65 teams that get to play every year. Moreover one of the best things about the tournament is how we watch the teams and results unfold before us. Before Larry Bird and Magic Johnson there really was no March Madness it was just another tournament that came at the end of College season that really the only ones that got excited were the players, alumni and those attending the games.

Now in 2009 March Madness is as big as the Super Bowl and every year countless hours are lost at work because employees and even bosses are hooked and cannot go an hour without getting some sort of live tournament update. Well with the economy the way it is these days and employers cutting jobs left and right the last thing you need to do is get fired or laid off because you were caught watching the NCAA March Madness men or woman. So if you are one of these people like me that are hooked to March Madness there are solutions for you.

One you can get a satellite these days and you can pay to see any game you want at any location and at any time. No more CBS local coverage but nationwide so that you never miss a minute of your favorite team that is playing. Second, that first one sounds expensive does it not, so another suggestion you can get a DVR or Tivo which many cable people provide these days with a few extra bucks and you can record live games and then go back and watch them at your leisure. However many times that one guy or girl will blow it for you as you hear the score of the game you want to see and now you really do not want to watch because you already know what will happen. I can’t stand spoilers and I’m sure many of you feel the same.

Solution, thank you internet which nowadays can be cheaper than actual cable or satellite and you can can do the same and watch any live game you want right now on the internet. Through CBS Sportsline they provide all the games online and at your leisure for free right now. Yesterday as always the local coverage on television was hauled for news and other temporary programming however I wanted to watch the Washington Huskies and the Mississippi State Bulldogs in Portland. I just got on the computer and was able to download for free the software I needed and within seconds I was watching the game. I used my link from Facebook but even if you do not have that you still can just go straight to CBS Sportsline and you can do it straight from there. We are in 2009 and if we want to watch something we can and it feels great.

Even thou this guy was not in the tournament I still love this dunk. Thanks for stopping in today.

In case you missed it last night Real World featured a special and former Real World cast member. Pedro the first openly gay and first ever to live on a television show diagnosed with HIV and the AIDS virus was the focus of the show. Pedro a former cast member of Real World San Francisco which was one of the very first seasons is now going to be the focus of a new MTV movie. The story of Pedro is now going public for millions for more to learn so that they can learn how he helped fight a deadly disease that took his life. The movie is about his life , his diagnosis of HIV and then his unstoppable courage to talk to thousands of teenagers and youth to listen about safe sex.

Besides that huge part of the show there as always had to be some fighting and make up as well as Scott gets a little crazy when he decided to lock the bowls and dishes in the cabinet with a master lock that only he has the key for as he is now fed up with the ladies inability to clean up after themselves especially one person in particular and that is Katelynn. Katelynn in return only wants to stir the pot more by doing her own childish way of revenge by taking the very precious pool balls for the billiards table that Scott and the boys are always playing. However the real fight was over the fact that Katelynn skipped out on Scott’s 24th birthday party because Katelynn had to go go go dance for a night club the same night for some needed cash. In the end all is forgiven and Scott actually gives Katelynn 1,500 dollars for her to be able to stay in the house. Scott you are a weird guy that is a little tightly wound but even that was a cool move whether planned out or not by the producers of Real World, it was a cool gesture that shows good heart and a big thumbs up from superdad.

Despite all of this the biggest news might be what we saw coming for another roommate, Mark who possibly might be going back to Iraq for active duty. Want to watch it again here is a link if you need to watch again MTV always has full episodes of previous episodes, thanks MTV!

Yes the Donald is back and so are some interesting celebrities. Scott Hamilton last night became the second victim to lead the men’s team although how can you lead a team with Dennis Rodman and Tom Green. However Scott did bury himself with that small decision about his brand marketing with “EEE” when they were trying to make an comic book advertisement for Zappos.com. Oh, and Clint Black does come off as an ass.

On the other hand the woman seem as thou they are off to a good start but there are too many “chiefs” as one Joan Rivers stated while in the board room. Little Cardasian did pull a team together that at first looked as bad as the men’s team.

All in all the show is off to a great start and I enjoy the Sunday time slot but it was dragged out a little yesterday. An hour of Donald a week is good enough for me, not two. Tom Green a project manager next week, should be good as their seems to be a little bit of a disadvantage as Weddings seem to be the theme. Should be another win for the woman and Tom may have to eat his own words. Tom might be gone next week so I put up some old Tom Green stuff if you care to watch.

David Letterman has been rocking all week long with U2. What a blast! I have been catching up with the performances online and they are as always rocking you to a new tune. The new album “No Line on the Horizon” is starting to grow on me and I will have to pick it up the next time I get to the store. U2 one of those bands that just never goes away and that is a good thing. People are saying this album is as good as “Achtung Baby” and we’ll have to see about that but remind everyone that loves U2 to check them out tonight and tomorrow on Dave. Oh and Dave is pretty funny as well! Always have loved Dave and hope he stays on as long as he wants.
